The Whistler Farmers’ Market 2023

Proper Artsy-Whistler Farmers Market_0077

I had a great time being a vendor at the Whistler Farmers’ Market this summer!

The Anonymous Art Show 2023

The Anonymous Art Show is Arts Whistler’s annual signature fundraising event and it was on again this year on 14th April 2023 at the Maury Young Arts Centre for the fifth year!

402 pieces of art created by 238 creatives were submitted, all of them 8 x 8 inches big, and there was an adrenaline-filled bidding war!

Arthentic Launch | Shopping Evening : February 9th, 2023

Arts Whistler launched their brand-new boutique, Arthentic by Arts Whistler.
Nestled in the Maury Young Arts Centre, Arthentic showcases a curated collection of
handcrafted products from the Sea to Sky region that each artisan has created with inspiration,
intention, and deep passion for their craft.

The Teeny Tiny Art Show 2022

The Teeny Tiny Art Show by Arts Whistler is back for 2022! It’s taking place in Whistler Village, in the Maury Young Arts Centre from September 1st- October 29th 2022.

Over 80 local artists created 200+ mini masterpieces, and they were all a maximum of 3 x 3 inches big! This year I decided to do a black and white animal eye series.

It is held every year. If you are in the area it’s a must see, but if you cannot make it in person, you can check out the virtual tour. View 2021’s show by clicking the button below.

Swatch, Gibbons, and Crankworx Collaboration

On the 14th August 2022, Gibbons invited me to paint a maxi Swatch during Crankworx, to be auctioned off to raise money for The Indigenous Life Sport Academy. I painted a bear in the face of the watch. The cool thing is that it’s a functioning clock!

Live Painting

Throughout the summer of 2022, I was asked to do some live painting on the Whistler Village Stroll. This was a great way to meet people from all around the world and I loved answering everyone’s questions. My favourite was from a bunch of young guys who asked “Did you paint that?!” whilst I was holding a paintbrush and applying paint to the canvas.

Art on the Lake 2022

On the 11 and 12th August 2022, Whistler hosted Art on the Lake…Literally! I had three pieces on display on the lake this year, and I had a paddle board that actually sat above the water and didn’t sink.

The Anonymous Art Show 2022

The Anonymous Art Show is Arts Whistler’s annual signature fundraising event and it was on again this year on 8th April 2022 at the Maury Young Arts Centre for the fourth year!

There were 296 pieces of art created by 183 artists in the sea to sky, and all of them were 8 x 8 inches big!

It was such a fun evening and I am very proud to say that all 3 of my pieces sold on the evening! I love hearing from people who buy my art and two of them have said hello, but if you’re the 3rd please do let me know!

The online gallery is available to see below.

Art on the Lake 2021

On the 5th August 2021, Whistler hosted Art on the Lake…Literally! I had two pieces on display on the lake and the day was full of live entertainment including painting, dancing and music. The only way to see the art was by boat, paddle board, canoe or swimming. Such fun!

Step by Step Process

TIME LAPSE AND PROCESS PHOTOS

I try to document the process of making each painting, whether its through photos of different stages or a timelapse, so I can look back and see how each one develops.

It’s a great tool for me to use to reflect on my work and figure out ways to streamline or adapt the process for the things that don’t quite work as well as they could do. It also helps to see what does work well in terms of technique so I can try to keep doing those things…a digital journal.

I know people find it interesting to see so I will be sharing these with you – I would love to know your thoughts!
